Emily De Benetti ’09, a proud Ridley Lifer, recently returned to campus to share her first children’s book, A–Z Animal Party, with JK and SK students.
Emily, who attended Ridley from Grades 5 through 12, read sections of her book to the enthusiastic young learners during her visit to the Lower School. The interactive hardcover book explores the alphabet through animal groups, pairing fun facts with colourful illustrations and collective nouns. It also includes a series of questions at the end to encourage reflection and conversation.
“I’ve always loved animals and making art,” said Emily. “Now that I have kids of my own, I wanted to create something they, and other children, could enjoy and learn from. It was such a joy to see the Ridley students so engaged.”
Emily hopes A–Z Animal Party can become a resource for the Lower School community and looks forward to reconnecting with Ridley in more ways.
