Designed by Ridley’s Directors of Rowing, Ridley’s summer programmes are guided by Canada’s Long Term Development principles, ensuring that athletes are appropriately coached according to their age and development stage.

INTRODUCTION TO ROWING
Ridley’s Introduction to Rowing programme will introduce young athletes to the sport of rowing through daily on and off-water sessions held at Henley Island. These sessions are best suited for those with no previous rowing experience.
Dates:
Session #1: July 3-14, 2023
Session #2: July 17-28, 2023
Each session runs Monday to Friday, from 8:30a.m. to 12:00p.m.
Cost: $650
Ages: 11-15
DEVELOPMENT ROWING (AGES 11-15)
Ridley’s Development Rowing programme will further develop the skills of novice rowers through daily on and off-water sessions held at Henley Island. These sessions are best suited for those that have completed a Learn to Row OR Ridley’s Introduction to Rowing programme.
Dates:
Session #1: July 3-14, 2023
Session #2: July 17-28, 2023
Each session runs Monday to Friday, from 8:30a.m. to 12:00p.m.
Cost: $650
Ages: 11-15
COMPETITIVE PROGRAMME – JUNIOR C
Ridley’s Competitive Rowing programme is focused on providing a high-performance training environment for young athletes with previous rowing experience (school-based rowing programme and/or previous rowing camp).
Weekly Sessions:
- Three two-hour on-water sessions
- One one-hour strength and conditioning workout
Programming will consist of three to four on-water sessions per week as well as weekly off-water strength and conditioning. This programme requires previous rowing experience.
Competitions:
- St. Catharines CORA
- RowOntario Championships
- Royal Canadian Henley Regatta
Dates: June 24-August 13, 2023
Cost: $700
Ages: 13-14
COMPETITIVE PROGRAMME – JUNIOR A/B
Ridley’s Competitive Rowing is focused on providing a high-performance training environment for young athletes with previous rowing experience (school-based rowing programme and/or previous rowing camp).
Programming will consist of six to nine on-water sessions per week as well as twice weekly off-water strength and conditioning. This programme requires previous rowing experience.
