Our stunning, modern facilities are the perfect place for your next special event.

Set on 90 picturesque acres in the heart of St. Catharines, Ontario, an hour's drive from Toronto and ten minutes from breathtaking Niagara Falls, Ridley's historic campus can provide a wonderful backdrop for any function.

We have a variety of spaces available for community use, including our majestic 100-year-old Memorial Chapel, two spacious dining halls, residential accommodations, performance and recording spaces for dance, music and theatre, an extensive sports complex featuring an NHL-sized ice rink, multipurpose gymnasiums, five natural turf fields, and more!

Getting Started 

Step 1: Verify that the facility you wish to rent is available using the Ridley Rentals calendar. Search for a facility using the filters. 

Step 2: If the facility is available to rent at your specified time, new users must create an account on our online reservation system.

Step 3: Once your account is created, you will receive a confirmation email with a link to activate your account. Once activated, you can log in and submit a rental request.

Pricing & Availability 

Rental prices may vary by facility, time of year, and in some cases, time of day. For current and detailed pricing information, create an account and log into our online reservation system by following the instructions listed above under Getting Started

Youth Ice Rental: $92-189/hr

Adult Ice Rental: $135-216/hr

Fieldhouse: $87/hr+

Gyms: $44/hr+

Fields: $41/hr+

Tennis Courts: $18/hr+ per court

For all other spaces, contact the Facilities Coordinator for pricing and availability. Pricing for these and all other spaces can be confirmed in the online reservation system.

Insurance rates

If you have insurance, you are required to provide us with a Certificate of Insurance (COI) naming Ridley College. If you do not have insurance, we can provide it to you. Rates commonly range between $1.51-5.40/hr but may vary by season, event, and for leagues and camps based on numbers and activities.

HST will be added to all rental and insurance rates.


Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

Who can rent our facilities?

All facilities, including the Memorial Chapel, are open to the public to rent. Visit our rental calendar to confirm availability and book.

How do I create an account?

Step 1: Verify that the facility you wish to rent is available using the Ridley Rentals calendar. Search for a facility using the filters.

How long before my event should I submit a request?

The sooner the better! We cannot guarantee that any requests made with less than five business days' notice will be approved.

Why do you need to know how many participants?

Our on-site staff needs to be of aware how many people will be entering the building.

Can we rent out classroom space?

Classroom space in our school can be requested by outside groups, but it is up to the school whether the request can be accommodated.

Please note that classrooms are generally only available during the summer months, around school programming.

What if I want a room that is not listed?

Please feel free to contact the Rentals Department at [email protected] for special requests.

What times can I request?

Rooms in our schools are available:

  • From 6:00p.m. to 10:45p.m. weekdays in Lower School.
  • From 7:00p.m. to 10:45p.m. weekdays in Upper School.
  • Saturday and Sundays between 7:00a.m. and 10:45p.m.
What does the red highlighted area mean?

Red indicates that there is a conflict with the date. That particular space is not available during that time on the date you have requested. You can hold your cursor over it to receive an explanation. Conflicts can be removed by clicking "Remove." Please remove conflicts before proceeding.

Our group wants to use school equipment. Can we?

Plan to bring your own equipment. Ridley College does not provide sports equipment at any time. Tables and chairs can be provided with enough notice, for a setup fee.

What happens if I have to cancel or change a date?

If you need to cancel or change a date on your request, you will need to do this through the online system. Click on the request you wish to change or cancel a date on. Click on the "Discussion" tab and enter a note with the date you wish to cancel or change.

In the event of a cancellation by the Applicant for individual booking dates, notice must be provided a minimum of either seven (7) working days or a minimum of 72 hours, depending on the event and/or facility, in advance of any booking. The cancellation must be in writing and include the signature of the Applicant. Failure to do so will necessitate full charges for the rental facilities. For seasonal bookings, Ridley will not reimburse any costs in the event of a cancellation. Once the contract is drafted (seasonal) the Lessee will be given 5 business days to review the contract. 

I have a question about my request. What should I do?

Under your request, there is a "Discussion" option. Enter your question here and the Rentals Department will respond.

I submitted my request. Does that mean it is approved?

No, there may be other requests ahead of yours that are awaiting approval. Community groups must wait until the request is approved before promoting their event.

How long will it take before my request is approved?

Requests may take up to 3-4 weeks to process. Arena and field requests may be quicker to approve, while event spaces like the theatre and chapel may take longer because of the internal review and approval process involved. We apologize for any delays.

How will I know if my request is approved?

Once your request has been approved, you will receive an electronic copy. Please print a hard copy of your request as you may be asked to show a copy once you arrive at the school.

Do I need my own insurance?

No. If you have insurance, you are required to provide us with a Certificate of Insurance (COI) naming Ridley College. If you do not have insurance, we can provide it to you.

Insurance ranges from:

  • $1.51/hour for most events
  • $5.40/hour for adult pick-up hockey
  • $4.32/hour for birthday parties

What is required for the Certificate of Insurance?

The Lessee shall carry liability insurance of no less than $2 million and name Ridley College as an Additional Insured. An insurance certificate, proving compliance with this requirement shall be provided to the Facilities Co-Ordinator before a request is approved, otherwise a premium will be charged to the Lessee and coverage will be provided through the User Group Liability Program provided by Game Day. 

What happens if the school needs the space I have rented?

School programs take priority over all other uses. Ridley College reserves the right to cancel or alter a contract or any part thereof, at any time and shall make every effort to give adequate notice to the Lessee, and, if possible, arrange alternate facilities. It is the responsibility of the Lessee to notify participants of any change or cancellation. Ridley College shall not incur any liability in the event the facilities are not available for any reason whatsoever for the term of this contract.

How do I pay for the rental?

Payments are made by credit card through our secure eBase system. 

How long can I rent the location?

It all depends on availability, but long-term rentals can be negotiated. Contact [email protected] for more information. 

Can faculty and staff rent space for personal use?

Ridley College employees receive 10% off when booking a Ridley Facility for personal use.

How to create an account and book a facility: 

  1. Register for a personal account on eBase using your non-Ridley College email (i.e. Gmail). 
  2. When filling out the registration form, under Organization, select Ridley College Staff & Faculty Rentals. This will activate the discount. 
  3. Create a permit to book the arena, tennis court, gymnasium, etc. Once your permit is approved, you will receive confirmation via your non-Ridley College email.
