Ridley College is one of the oldest, largest and most prestigious boarding schools in Canada. Students from over 60 countries walk through our gates every year. This summer is your opportunity to join the 'Ridley Family'.

Our Boarding camps are open to students from ages 11 to 16. All programmes are hosted on our 90-acre campus in the heart of the world-famous Niagara Region. Participants will be warmly welcomed by our experienced educators and coaches, have access to our extensive facilities, and be energized by our nutritious meal plan.

Summer Boarding Programmes

Our Boarding Programmes includes:

  • Airport transfers on arrival and departure dates
  • 24-hour dorm supervision by qualified Ridley College Staff
  • Shared or Single Room accommodations  in Ridley College dorm houses
  • Three (3) meals and two (2) snacks daily 
  • Safely accommodate a variety of dietary needs and restrictions
  • Health Insurance coverage while staying on campus
  • Access to 24-hour health care by medical professionals at Ridley’s Schmon Health Centre
  • 24-hour on-site security services with cameras installed to ensure camper safety
  • Free WIFI access
  • Evening and weekend activities and excursions throughout Niagara and the Greater Toronto Area (Niagara Falls, Hornblower, Fort George, Tree-Trekking, Niagara-on-the-Lake, Outlet Mall shopping, CN Tower, Ripley Aquarium)

The Programme cost does not include:

  • Sundry expenses (spending money – we recommend $300-$500 CAD dollars)

 


    Boarding Camp Offerings

    EAL (ESL) CAMP EXPERIENCE (Ages 11-16)

    Designed for campers who are beginner to intermediate-level English speakers. This camp enhances English reading, writing, speaking and comprehension through inquiry and project-based activities. Students will engage in both interactive classroom activities and fun traditional camp experiences. Includes scenic, cultural excursions within the beautiful Niagara Region and Toronto.

    4-week sessions: June 30 - July 27 | July 28 - Aug 24 | $6,995 CAD (price includes HST)

    ESL CREDIT PROGRAMME (Ages 13-16)

    Our ESL Summer Credit Programme is designed for students with an intermediate to advanced level of English proficiency who wish to participate in a more rigorous English language programme. This is a great option for those who wish to apply to English-speaking high schools or universities and/or wish to earn an Ontario Ministry of Education academic credit in ESL. Students will also have a chance to build friendships during fun, on-campus activities with peers.

    4-week session: July 28 - August 24 | $6,995 CAD (price includes HST)

     

    IB/HIGH SCHOOL PREP (Ages 13-16)

    The transition to high school is one that comes with monumental changes and often insecurities. This enrichment course combines high school and IB preparation to ensure that students are ready for September. Gain confidence and a stronger understanding of high school expectations while focusing on some important concepts such as time management, organizational strategies, study skills, communication skills and essay writing, to name a few. Students aspiring to enroll in the Middle Year Programme (MYP), prepare by focusing on critical skills and thinking that would best prepare them for this curriculum. After-school co-curricular activities allow for students to make lasting friendships and network with other high school students.

    DEBATE CAMP (Ages 11-16)

    SUMMER ACADEMY (Ages 13-16)

    Our Summer Academy is a safe in-class learning experience for both Ridleians and non-Ridleians to support their advancement towards the Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD). Summer boarders will enjoy living and learning on the beautiful Ridley Campus. This is a wonderful opportunity to experience short-term boarding and engage in interactive activities after class.

    Refund Policy

    Requests for refund of Ridley College Summer Programmes must be submitted to the Ridley College Summer Programmes Office via email at [email protected]. Requests for refunds received prior to May 1st, 2024 will receive a full refund, less the administration fee of 10 per cent of the total fees. Refund requests received between May 1st, 2024 and June 1st, 2024 are subject to an administration fee of 50 per cent of the total fees. Refund requests received after June 1st, 2024 will not qualify for a refund.  

    If a Summer Programmes registrant’s visa is denied, the visa application must have been submitted to the IRCC by March 15th, 2024 to be eligible for a refund. Registrants must submit the IRCC refusal letter with proof of submission prior to March 15th, 2024. Ridley College must be notified of the visa status no later than June 1st, 2024. Registrants without a visa by June 1st, 2024 who have submitted their visa application prior to March 15th, 2024 will receive a full refund. 

    Pro-rated refunds are not available for absences, meals not taken or other services not fully utilized. Full fees are due and payable when a child is registered and attends any part of a Summer Programmes session. 

    Any Summer Programmes registrant who exhibits behaviour that is deemed inappropriate (please refer to the Code of Conduct) by the Summer Programmes Manager could have their participation suspended and/or terminated without a refund. 

    Study Permits and Temporary Visas

    Students attending Ridley Summer camps do not require Study Permits. International students must ensure they have the appropriate travel documents to enter Canada. Most students require either a Temporary Resident Visa or Electronic Travel Authorization. Please note that current visa processing times are longer than usual and early applications are recommended.

    Note to Ridley families: all Summer Academy, Enrichment Course and Boarding Experience fees must be paid separately from the student’s Ridley College account.
