Enriching Lives with a Commitment to Service

Ridley students are inspired to embark on lifelong academic, creative, and spiritual searches for meaning and truth in everything they do.

— Megan, Entered Ridley as a Grade 10 student

“Ridley has fueled my ambitions to make a difference in the world. The support group behind me — my Housemaster, advisor, teachers and coaches — has taught me that I can do anything I want if I am prepared to work hard enough for it. Having to juggle a heavy academic workload, competitive sport and community service has honed my organizational skills and prepared me for life beyond the classroom.”
On and off campus, Ridley promotes the role of service in a flourishing life. The idea is embodied in our motto — Terar Dum Prosim (May I be Consumed in Service) — and it is infused in our culture. Students are encouraged to participate in service to others in their immediate community and the world in which they live. They learn the importance of contributing to the flourishing lives of others through local fundraising campaigns and service trips to developing countries.
