Thirteen members and four generations of the Scandrett Family have walked the halls of Ridley College. Starting with Wilmer Leonard ‘08, who later became the first chair of the London, Ontario branch of the Association. Followed by James Herbert ‘11, William Leonard ‘36, James Herbert Hodgson Scandrett '39, Harold Joland ‘43, Terence P. ‘61, Peter ‘66. William D. ‘66, Hugh J. ‘76, Graeme R.P. ‘92, Sarah W. ‘94 (the first female Scandrett to attend), Catherine OR’99 and Robert J. ‘01. Terry ‘61 led the Planning Committee in 1992. Based on a Long Range Strategic Plan that was commissioned, the committee formed and their mandate was to assess all aspect of Ridley life and create a blue-print that would move the School confidently into the twenty-first century. A conference was held at the school with nearly 200 participants with great success, and another round of questionnaires went out after to additional members of the Ridley Family. After all of the information was gathered, two days were spent with consultants and 30 additional participants revising the school’s mission statement and vision. Terry also championed the Class of ‘61 to donate jerseys to the inaugural girls hockey team in 1994.
