Proudly from St. Catharines, Georgina attended Ridley College. She earned her B.A. in Political Science at McGill University, the Certified Management Consultant designation and completed the Directors’ programme at the Rotman/Institute of Corporate Directors.
Throughout her career, Georgina has advised organizations and governments on strategies to improve performance across Canada, the United States, United Kingdom, and the Caribbean. As an entrepreneur, Georgina has been involved with building two professional services firms, including Blackstone Partners, which she founded and later sold to KPMG in 2010. Currently, Georgina is Canadian Managing Partner of Government & Public Services at Deloitte Canada, where she leads a team committed to preparing Canada for a prosperous future.
Georgina is a fierce advocate for women in business and has been recognized as one of Canada’s Top 100 Most Powerful Women. She is a frequent keynote speaker on the future of healthcare and future of government.
Georgina served on the Ridley College Board of Governors for 18 years and a number of committees, including as Chair of Governance. Georgina served as Chair of the Board from 2014 to 2018. She is currently Co-Chair of The Campaign for Ridley—the largest capital campaign in the school’s history. Georgina is an Advisor to Children First and has served on a number of boards including the Oakville Hospital Foundation, Holland Bloorview Hospital and Brock University.
Georgina and her husband, Bill Watson are past parents of Ridleians Andrew '14 and John 'Jack' Watson '17. They are avid golfers and travellers, and treasure family time at the cottage.
