Canadian Arts Experience

Oh Canada is a creative nation! This programme welcomes both domestic and international students (ages 9-16) to explore the artistic genius of our Great Canadian artists through a variety of tactile experiences.
Campers will learn the techniques and processes employed by the famous Group of Seven artists such as plein air painting, Emily Carr’s one-point perspective and Ted Harrison’s landscape design style. Campers will also be exposed to First Nations traditional art practices and visit the renowned McMichael Canadian Art collection in Vaughan, Ontario. (
The focus of this two-week art experience will be on developing and celebrating the creative expression of our campers.

Note: all students must possess, at minimum, a moderate level of English language proficiency to attend this camp.
Day students:
August 12-23

Cost: $599/session (full amount due at time of online registration)
Boarding students:
August 11-24

Total Cost: $2,999
Deposit: $1000 (due at time of online registration)
Remainder of payment: $1,999 (due by May 31, 2019)
Boarding registration deadline: May 31, 2019
Day Camp registration will be ongoing until maximum capacity is reached.
Note: All international students who do not currently hold a Canadian passport or permanent residence card are required to enroll in the boarding programme.
First day of classes: please arrive at the Fieldhouse Building (Building F on campus map) on Monday morning at 8:30a.m.

Day Programme Refund Policy
Requests for cancellations or refunds must be made in writing and submitted to the Ridley College Summer Programmes office via email at Requests for refunds received prior to four weeks before the start date of the programme will receive a full refund less an administration fee of 10%. Refund requests received between one and four weeks prior to the start date of the programme are subject to an administration fee of 50% of the total fee. Refund requests received less than one week prior to the start date of camp will not qualify for a refund.
Pro-rated refunds are not available for days absent, meals not taken or other services not fully utilized. The full session’s fees are due and payable if a child is registered and attends any part of a session.
Any camper who exhibits behavior that is deemed inappropriate by the Summer Programmes Manager will have their participation suspended or terminated without a refund.
Refunds may take four to six weeks to process.

Boarding Refund Policy:
Requests for cancellations or refunds must be made in writing and submitted to the Ridley College Summer Programmes office via email at All cancellations received prior to May 31, 2019 will be eligible for 50% refund of the deposit paid. If student’s visa is denied full refund less 10% of the deposit will be issued. Copies of documentation from the Canada Embassy will be required in order to process this refund request. Cancellations after May 31, 2019 will not be eligible for a refund.
A student whose participation is terminated due to behavior incongruent with Ridley’s Code of Conduct will not receive a refund.

Refunds may take four to six weeks to process.
