Hutchings, Brian A. OR '84
Brian attended Ridley in 1983-84 and earned colours in football, basketball and track. He went on to St. Mary’s University where he was the team captain of the football team for three years. From university football, Brian joined the Canadian Football League playing for the Hamilton Tiger Cats, the Calgary Stampeders and the Toronto Argonauts.

A graduate of St. Mary’s, the University of Toronto, Queen’s University and Canadore College, Brian is a certified general accountant who has served as the Commissioner of Community Services and Commissioner Corporate Services Treasurer for the Niagara Region—he also found time to coach football at Ridley for nine years.

Brian was named the 2003 Grimsby Citizen of the Year and has been awarded the 2008 Niagara College Niagara Award, the 2011 Business Education Council Partnership Award and the 2013 Honorary Diploma Leadership Niagara. He has served as a board member on the Ontario Trillium Foundation, West Lincoln Memorial Hospital, United Way, YMCA of Niagara, McNally House, and the Hamilton Tiger Cat Alumni. He also served as Brock University's Vice-President Finance and Administration from 2012 to 2019. In 2019, Brian was appointed the Chief Administrative Officer for the City of Brantford, Ontario.
