  • Indigenous Awareness Week

A wonderful opportunity has been brought forward for us next week during the Indigenous Awareness week.
Dr. Wesley Esquimaux, the first Indigenous Chair on the Truth and Reconciliation Commission, will be coming to speak at Ridley.
Consequently, I wanted to ensure that both the Personal Project Showcase and Dr. Esquimaux were possible. Thus, I have altered the schedule for Tuesday February 27 to accommodate both. The outline of the day is found below.

Mr. Scott McCambley will alter the TigerNet schedule for Tuesday.

    Tuesday February 27:
Grade 10 Personal Project and Dr. Wesley Esquimaux:

    Period 1: 8:15 to 9:30am
    Recess: 9:30 to 9:45am
    Period 2: 9:45 to 11:00am
    Lunch: 11:00 to 12noon
    Period 3: 12noon to 1:15pm
    Period 4:1:15 to 2:30pm

Grade 10: Go to the Field House at 1:15pm to set up for the P.P. Showcase. Check in with the period 4 class at 1:15pm and that grade 10 teacher will bring them to the Field House. Grade 10 will only miss period 4.

Grade 9/11/12: Meet advisor at 2:30pm in the Mandeville Theatre after period 4. Period 4 teacher to bring them to the Theatre. Hear Dr. Wesley Esquimaux speak on Reconciliation. Grade 10 will use this time to set up.

At 3:15ish: Following Dr. Wesley Esquimaux, Grade 9/11/12 attend P.P. Showcase with advisor in the Field House.

Only grade 10 would miss period 4. Use 1:15 to 3:15pm to set up within the Field House.

4:30: Co-Curricular activities as per normal.
