IB Continuum Framework

The Ridley IB continuum consists of three programmes: Primary Years, Middle Years, and Diploma Programme.

Primary Years Programme (PYP) for students in Junior Kindergarten-Grade 6
Middle Years Programme (MYP) for students in Grades 7-10
Diploma Programme (DP) for students in Grades 11 and 12

Lower School students begin in the PYP programme and then move into the first two years of the four-year MYP programme. In Upper School, students complete their MYP Certificate and can also earn the IB Diploma. The MYP programme provides continuity in approaches to teaching and learning, giving students a unique level of confidence as they transition from Lower to Upper School.

These programmes are offered in addition to the Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) in Grades 11 and 12.
