Boarding Life

A Values-Based Community

All day students and boarding students are associated directly with one of Ridley’s 10 boarding houses.

The boarding houses provide boarding and day students at all developmental stages a safe, supportive, healthy, and values-based community environment. These small families within the school serve as a central hub of social, service, athletic, and enrichment activities for all students.

Boarding students learn to live independently, but they also learn the importance of a community. Day students learn to study and socialize within the context of a larger community. Together, all students have the opportunity to develop the beliefs, values, and character traits that will enable them to live a life of integrity, independence, empathy, and service.
