Dedicated Health Services
Our focus on physical literacy is supported by a dedicated staff of health professionals in our Heath Centre
The Schmon Health Centre promotes the prevention of disease and injury and provides treatment for the Ridley community so that everyone on campus can attain and maintain the highest level of wellness: physically, emotionally, spiritually, and psychologically.
During hours of operation, a Registered Practical Nurse and/or a Nurse Manager is on duty. A nurse is also available for emergencies during sleeping hours. Plus, a physician is on campus four days a week and is available 24 hours a day for emergencies.
Off-campus medical services are available at the new St. Catharines General Hospital, which is located approximately two kilometres from Ridley. Students who need to go to the hospital, or to other off campus appointments, are accompanied by an adult.
In addition, our Athletic Therapy Clinic is open in the afternoon six days a week for injury rehabilitation and prevention.
