Lower School

Learning Support

Our teaching process is enhanced by the Ridley College Learning Centre, which offers a variety of support services structured to help students succeed.

Our Learning Centre offers a variety of support services designed to help students succeed in and out of the classroom. There are two physical locations for the Learning Centre, the lower level of Schoolhouse in Upper School and the main level in Lower School.

Student achievement may be affected by a learning exceptionality, mental health challenge, physical condition, or extended absence. Our dedicated learning strategists partner with students, parents, teachers, counsellors, and the health centre to develop a learning support plan tailored to meet the evolving needs of students.

The Learning Centre offers a variety of support options based on the specific needs of each student, including:
  • In-class support – for student and teacher
  • Organizational Support
  • Academic accommodations
  • Assistive Technologies
  • Workshops
  • Psycho-educational assessment
  • Subject-specific Tutoring
  • Concussion Protocols
  • Return to Learn Planning
  • Return to Play Planning
