Learning Support

Our Learning Centre offers a variety of support services designed to help students succeed in and out of the classroom. This environment is available to all students and is intended to help develop learning skills and strategies.

Through the Learning Centre, a dedicated learning strategist partners with students, parents, and teachers to develop a learning support plan tailored to meet student needs. Together we strive to empower students to become strong self-advocates.

The Learning Centre process includes strategies designed to help students develop a growth mindset and embolden them to view challenges as opportunities. As students progress, the Learning Centre staff continues to focus on building grit and celebrating resiliency through to graduation.

Our staff and faculty also recognize that student achievement may be affected by a learning exceptionality, mental health challenge, physical condition, or extended absence. The team works with students to develop strategies that will enable them to experience positive well-being in all areas of life.

The Learning Centre offers a variety of support options based on the specific needs of each student, including:
  • In-class support
  • Academic accommodations
  • Workshops
  • Psycho-educational assessment
  • Tutoring
