Rigby, Tim '60 - Rowing
Sport has tremendous power to build a sense of community. Tim did just that for his incredible work to build and develop the sport of Rowing in Niagara and in Canada. For 40 years, this Tiger has passionately devoted his time to the sport as a volunteer, as founder of the Ridley Boat Club, holding top leadership roles in the St. Catharines Rowing Club and the Canadian Henley Rowing Corporation. He helped Niagara realize the World Rowing Championships in St. Catharines in 1999. In 1996 he was inducted as a member of the St. Catharines Sport Hall of Fame and has been the recipient of several awards including the FISA Gold Medal and Queen’s Jubilee Medal.
