Not Just Strong in Body: Character Education in Lower School
Liz Clarke, Primary and Junior Division Co-ordinator
As part of the character education program in grades one to four, students concentrate on four virtues: diligence; positive attitude; respect; perseverance. They participate in activities that focus on practical ways to live the lessons taught during assembly, advisory and classroom discussion. Through the use of role-playing, story telling and journal writing, students are able to share their personal experiences and explore ways to apply these important life lessons within their own families and communities.

Neither Rain, Nor Sleet, Nor Snow (that’s right, snow) Stays these Courageous Harriers!
Maggie Swan, Head Coach, Harriers Cross Country Team
First Harriers team travelled to Trinity College School for the CISAA Championships. Despite the appalling weather, the team produced terrific results and many personal best performances were achieved.

In the Senior Girls race, Courtney King secured the gold medal winning by over a minute. Kelsey Peters finished very strongly in the top quarter of the field. The Junior Girls team won a bronze medal, led over the line by Alana Kit (10th), Jillian Robinson (12th), Savannah Cowherd (17th) and Tess Cowherd (22nd).
