Michael Dorrington is a post-doctoral fellow in the Labaratory of Systems Biology at the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Disease in Bethesda, Maryland. As a post-doc, he conducts hands-on research in the field of immunology. He is responsible for formulating research questions, designing experiments that address these questions, performing the experiments, analyzing data using statistical analyses, and writing manuscripts describing the experiments. This is all done with input from his supervisor, who is a primary investigator at the National Institutes of Health.
 
Mike graduated from Ridley in 2006, and moved on to complete his Bachelor of Science in Life Sciences from the University of British Columbia and a Doctorate degree (Ph.D.) in Medical Science with a specialization in Infection & Immunity at McMaster University.
 
Mike has A love of science, a curiosity about the human immune system, and the ability to make people’s lives better through his work.
