David Jarvis is currently a Judge of the Ontario Superior Court of Justice for the Central East Region. Prior to his judicial appointment, David was a Lawyer from 1978 until 2015 specializing in the areas of Administrative and Family Law.
 
Upon graduating from Ridley in 1970, David completed his LLB at Osgoode Hall (York University).
 
He is a former partner and Management Committee member in Beard Winter LLP, a downtown Toronto firm of 70 lawyers. He was an instructor and seminar leader at the Law Society of Upper Canada; former prosecutor for the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario (Discipline); former counsel to the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario; Member of the Advocates Society; and founding member and former director of Collaborative Practice Toronto.
