Marko Bukovec '85 • Consumer Packaged Goods - Sales/Marketing
Marko spent 7 years at Ridley before graduating in 1985, later becoming a Ridley parent. After Ridley, Marko went on to complete his Bachelor of Arts at Queen’s University with a focus in Economics before pursuing his MBA at York University.
From there, Marko joined Unilever to work as a production manager in their factory. After taking advantage of many different opportunities within Unilever, Marko accepted his current position in St. Catharines so that his children could be day students at Ridley, and so that he could live close to family.
He is currently General Manager of The Mentholatum Company of Canada, Ltd. where he has worked for nearly 5 years. As the head of the company, he is responsible for all facets of the business operations in Canada. His specific areas of focus are on sales, marketing, supply chain, and quality assurance/regulatory compliance.
All of Mentholatum’s products are listed with traditional CPG retailers – Walmart, Loblaws, Shoppers Drug Mart, etc. They are also a registered pharmaceutical company with Health Canada.
Marko has a great deal of experience working for different companies of different sizes, holding largely marketing roles. He would be a great mentor for an alumni looking to head into a career in marketing.
