As a writer and editor, Jane Lewis is the author of six young adult books. The most recent of these books was published in 2008 by Scholastic Canada. She graduated from Ridley in 1990, and went on to attend the University of Guelph and earned a B.A. in Philosophy in 1995 before pursuing a career in publishing.

In 2009, Jane transitioned from her publishing career in order to pursue music full time. She maintains that this has been an organic transition; music is what she enjoys doing most. Her recent solo album, Stay With Me was released in September 2014. Lewis also plays in a duo called Gathering Sparks that was nominated as Vocal Group of the Year at the 2014 Canadian Folk Music Awards. Most recently, Jane and a fellow St. Catharines musician won an Independent Music Award for ‘Best Cover Song’ for their version of the Beatles’ Come Together.

Those mentees looking to begin a career in writing and publishing, or the music industry, should consider Jane as a mentor.
