Scott Lampard spent eight years at Ridley College before graduating in 1988. He went on to obtain his BA in Political Science from Western University before beginning a career in the financial markets. Scott always had an interest in the financial markets along with a desire to work in a fast paced, dynamic industry with a global focus. Largely due to these desires, Scott has achieved a great deal of success in his career, both in Canada and internationally.
He currently works in HSBC Bank Canada - Head of Capital Financing – responsible for primary equity and debt capital markets, specializing in structured financing solutions such as asset finance, leveraged and acquisition finance, project and export finance, transformative merger and acquisition advisory and execution, as well as relationship-based credit and lending.
Before making a move to his current job as a managing director and head of capital finance at a major bank, Scott recently held the position of CEO of Deutsche Bank Canada.
Prior to making a name for himself in the Canadian financial industry, Scott held major positions in Europe and Asia. He spent time working as the Head of Global Markets – Asia Pacific with the Bank of America Merrill Lynch Hong Kong, as well as the Head of Capital Markets – EMEA & Asia with the Bank of America in London. His wide breadth of experience in finance would be of significant value to mentees looking to enter or grown within this important industry.
