Cheryl Pounder, gold medalist hockey player, will address the student body speaking about mental health.
Ridley College is delighted to welcome two-time Olympic gold medalist and CBC Sports commentator Cheryl Pounder as part of our 2017-2018 MGI Gordon Distinguished Speaker Series on Saturday, March 3.  This event will take place in the Mandeville Theatre from 9:00 - 10:15 a.m.  All members of the Ridley College community are invited to attend.  Admission is free.
Please note that Cheryl Pounder's presentation has been attached to the Saturday Program.  All students in grades 10, 11, and 12 must attend the event.  Students must arrive early to ensure a prompt 9:00 a.m. start.  
Cheryl Pounder has led six of Canada's World Champion Hockey teams, as well as two Olympic gold medal national hockey teams.  She has had an even larger impact off the ice, as she has become a prominent public speaker, spreading her message of positivity to audiences across the country.
Join Cheryl on Saturday, March 3 as she talks about mental health, the strength of positivity and inclusivity, and how to break through barriers and setbacks in life.
Cheryl is currently providing hockey analysis for CBC's coverage of the 2018 Winter Olympic Games.  Make sure to catch Cheryl live from PyeongChang throughout the hockey tournaments!
