Much of Victor Harding’s life has been devoted to the sport of squash. Not only is he one of Canada’s finest players, he has generously donated time and money to support the growth of the game. He played squash at Ridley for four years, culminating in 1966 when, as team captain, he won the Individual Little Big Four Championship. He continued to play and win like a champion on the University of Toronto Varsity Squash team. We went on to win the Canada Cup at the London School of Economics in 1971 and earned an Oxford Blue in squash at Oxford University in 1972. To say that Victor has won countless doubles and singles titles doesn’t really do him justice. In fact, he has won 28 Ontario titles, 38 national and international titles and was a member of the first all-Canadian team to win the US National Doubles. He has also contributed to the game as a coach, a tireless fundraiser, a tournament chair and as a member of the board of Squash Ontario and the World Professional Squash Association.
