The McLaughlin Library is the academic heart of the renovated Middle School facilities. Situated in the middle of the first floor of the new classroom addition, the library is welcoming and spacious with a southern exposure through a beautiful bay window. Large work tables conduce quiet group or individual study for students and teachers, whilst the reading area provides a quiet refuge to read a book, periodical or newspaper. The research computer area has desktop computers and airport access to the Ridley Network for laptop computers.
The physical resources include reference books, a circulating book collection, current periodicals and newspapers, and a multimedia collection. The virtual library offers access to on-line encyclopedias, subject databases, newspaper and journal articles and selected research websites. The McLaughlin Library On-line Catalogue and the Library Research Web Page may be accessed campus-wide or from off campus through the Internet. Information Literacy Skills are taught to all Middle School students.
