The Ridley College Association (RCA) was conceived in Toronto in 1893 then became a functional entity in 1898 as the Ridley College Old Boys’ Association. In 1945, Mr. Terence Cronyn (‘13-’20) was appointed permanent Secretary-Treasurer with an office at Ridley. In 1967 the Association was renamed the Ridley College Association.
The Mission Statement of the RCA is to encourage the life-long friendship of Ridleians by providing a positive ongoing experience with Ridley College and the Ridley family. The objectives of the Association include: to encourage involvement of the Ridley family in School events and alumni affairs, and honour outstanding service; to provide opportunities for networking; to keep the Ridley family informed of current Association affairs; through friendraising endeavors to assist with student recruitment and fundraising; and to organize and foster mentoring.
All members of the Association in good standing on October 4, 2004 shall continue to be members of the Association. This includes alumni/ae, parents, faculty, and friends of the School (The Ridley Family). In addition, the RCA Executive may designate an Honorary Member of the Association, which may be either an individual or corporation.
The Ridley College Association Executive (RCAE) aims to provide volunteer leadership and administrative support for the Ridley College Association.
