Entrance Exams
Ridley has a 1.5 hour entrance examination called the Differential Aptitude Test (DAT) which tests verbal, numerical, and abstract reasoning aptitudes. All candidates should come to the school for their personal interview prepared to write this exam. (The SSAT is an acceptable substitute for the DAT).
Although it is not mandatory for general admission, Ridley encourages all candidates to write the SSAT (Secondary School Admission Test), which is taken by over 40,000 students worldwide each year. Ridley's SSAT number is 6036.
Candidates whose primary language is not English should submit a TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) or SLEP (Secondary Level English Proficiency) score.
Those students applying for merit-based scholarships must write the SSAT and provide a score to Ridley.
Please e-mail us if you have any questions or concerns regarding exams or standardized test scores.
